My sister fairly recently brought her vehicle in for routine strut replacement, and the accompanying wheel alignment. She waited a total of five hours in the lobby, as one of the techs attempted to figure out the cause of a no-start condition, not even informing her of the problem. When closing time came, they simply urged her out the door, without the vehicle. They assured her someone would be working on it the next day. The next day was Sunday, however, and they are not open. Monday morning and early afternoon came without a word. She finally called them, after her work day, to find they had torn into the vehicle, swapping parts to figure out what was wrong. No estimate, no contact for verbal permission.

Upon visiting the store myself, I questioned the tech involved, writing down everything he told me was checked and/or swapped. His diagnosis? The PCM just went bad. As an ASE certified mechanic myself, I know this is highly unlikely. My theory is that they statically shocked the electrical system with the alignment rack as they contacted the wheels, taking other components with it. Did I mention it ran perfectly when it arrived there?

As a result of this visit, there is a marred dashboard, warped fuse panel cover, missing PCM (computer) connector cover, missing engine cover attaching nuts, and diagnostic tool parts lying on the engine itself. Not to mention the PCM I had to replace, and the fact it has not run correctly since (I believe the GEM module has gone out now). Keep a very watchful eye on this place, should you choose to bring work to them. It may cost you plenty more than you are expecting.
